SSC JHT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualifiacation

Junior Translation Officer(JTO) in Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS) – Master’s degree in Hindi or English with one of the languages as a mandatory subject.
– Alternatively, a Master’s degree in any subject with English as the medium of instruction and Hindi as a compulsory subject at the degree level.
– Additionally, a recognized diploma or certificate course in Hindi-English translation (or vice versa) is required.
– Or, two years of experience in translation work.”
Junior Translation Officer(JTO) in Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ)
Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)/ Junior Translation Officer(JTO)/Junior Translator (JT) in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations
Senior Hindi Translator (SHT)/Senior Translator (ST) in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations
  • Master’s in Hindi/English with English or Hindi as a compulsory subject. Or
  • Master’s in any field (English medium, Hindi compulsory subject at undergraduate level level). Or
  •  Diploma/Certificate in Hindi-English translation(or Vice Versa).
  • 4. 3+ years of translation experience.”

The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:

I. One Time Registration

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

– Mobile number
– Email ID
– Aadhaar number (or alternative ID: Voter ID, PAN, Passport, Driving License, etc.)
– Matriculation (10th class) certificate details
– Disability certificate number (if applicable)

Step 2: Register

2. Fill in your personal details, create a password, and add additional information.
3. Verify your mobile number and email ID through OTP.
4. Review and confirm your details.
